The first bit of good news is that over 400 people have registered to attend the Internet & Society ’04 conference, Votes, Bits and Bytes, later this week.  The other bit of good news is that you can still come, if you haven’t registered yet, but there will likely be some sessions, especially on Friday, that are full.

If you presume that some number of the registrants won’t actually show up (after all, it’s a free conference, so we usually get as much as a 25% drop-off), we still have room to accommodate more registrations for the Saturday sessions, which are in the un-conference BloggerCon style. We expect that the Ames courtroom on Friday will be completely full; you are welcome to come anyway and standby for a seat if registrants don’t show up. 

If you’d like to register to reserve a place for Saturday, please do so here.  If you’d like to hear Kathleen Matthews (ABC), Joe Trippi (Dean campaign and MSNBC), and Michael Turk (Bush-Cheney eCampaign Director) on Thursday night at 6:00 p.m. at the Institute of Politics’ John F. Kennedy Forum, you can just show up at the Kennedy School, as it’s first-come, first-served.
