Apple seems to be trying to re-invent itself ahead of the curve. I think they are venturing where they will fail.
If so, they will not be alone! I’ve been asked a fair amount: so, if they’re charging $0.99 for something that can be gotten for free (though, perhaps, illegally), can they possibly succeed? At what point are the pricing right, the features rich enough, the litigation risk high enough?
