Cybersquatting as political activism

Last night, VP Dick Cheney made a slip of the tongue, referring to
“factcheck.com” when he meant to say “factcheck.org,” a site that
reviews claims by those running for office and seeks to set the record
straight.  Predictably, lots of people have been going to the .com
site, rather than the .org site.  The .com version, last night,
looked like one of those standard lots-of-advertising links sites that
cybersquatters and others not really using their registered domains for
much of anything.  Check it out now: redirects to
http://www.georgesoros.com.

Update: More here, here and here.
