Tom Steinberg is having lunch with us here at the Berkman Center. He’s telling us about MySociety and its various anti-collective-action-problem tools like PledgeBank. If you doubt its power, check out the campaign on ID cards and the effort to create a British EFF. Tom is rolling out an international version of PledgeBank (which is only one of many cool, lightweight, Web2.0 projects underway at MySociety).
Tom calls Prof. Putnam’s Bowling Alone “the most important” writing of its kind for our generation. The connection to the social capital creation process is obvious. MySociety is proving the concept.
Tune in if you are online (Tuesday, 10/4/05, 12:30 – 1:45 p.m. EST).
